<image:caption>I am a 2017 graduate of the Ph.D. in Economics program at the University of South Florida. My research interests are in the areas of health economics, economic development, public policy, and applied microeconomics. In particular, my current work contributes to the understanding of the impact of fetal conditions on individual’s health and economic outcomes over the entire life course by examining the effects of two distinct types of public policies, antimalarial interventions in sub-Saharan Africa and medical marijuana laws in the United States, on early-life health. I currently teach Intermediate Price Theory and Principles of Macroeconomics at the University of South Florida. Email: olgapetrova@mail.usf.edu</image:caption>
